A Look Into Good Fats for Your Diet
We want to start a conversation about essentials to your diet and nutrients you should make sure you’re including! This month, let’s focus on fats—the good kind. When grocery shopping, you want to target unsaturated fats. These help reduce bad cholesterol while promoting brain function and muscle growth. Long story short, they’re necessary for a healthy mind and body!
You can find unsaturated fats through the following foods:
Less Sitting, More Movement
Here’s a piece for our busy bees who find it hard to step away from their desks! Sometimes you’re so engaged in your projects that you forget to give your body a break. Try not to leave too much pressure on your hip flexors and lower back, two areas most affected by long periods of sitting.
Don’t worry, we’ll help you get that blood flowing with a few tips for the work week:
Starting Off 4th of July Strong
Back by popular demand, Vanessa’s starting your Fourth of July with her Bangin’ Boot Camp! Reserve your spot to get your blood pumping in this 90-minute workout where we’ll incorporate a reformer, springboard, ballet barre, and bosu ball. Don’t hesitate. Spots are filling up quickly!
Can’t make the fourth? Take a look at the modified schedule for the morning of the 5th:
- 7 a.m. Accelerate with Brigette
- 8 a.m. Accelerate with Brigette
- 9 a.m. Accelerate with Brigette

We have a few sweet treats for you! There’s a sale on classes and apparel coming your way! Keep your eyes peeled for more details on discounted goodies like leggings and tank tops in your inbox!
Notice for Our Monthly Unlimited Members
There are a few updates coming, and we did the math in hopes that our members won’t be too discouraged. Starting September 1st, we will be adjusting our monthly unlimited memberships to $159. Under the unlimited membership, each class will still be as low as $10 for those attending 4 classes a week and $8 for those coming in 5 times a week. Changes happen, but we’d like to think that nothing will stop us from our pilates flow!
Reminder: 12-Hour Cancellation Policy
Plans change. We understand! Our team just wants to accommodate to all of our students, including those who didn’t have a chance to reserve a spot! If you aren’t able to attend a class you booked, we ask that you keep your classmates in mind by staying true to the cancellation policy.
For new students, let us run through it! At Powerhouse Pilates, we expect students who can no longer make it to inform us 12 hours before class starts. If you aren’t able to, those who have a class package will lose the class booked. Unlimited Membership holders will be charged $15 for not showing up or $11 for missing the cancellation grace period.

As Joseph Pilates once said, “Pilates is complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit.”
We consider each session to be more than a challenging workout. It’s time dedicated solely to you and your intentions. Offer yourself some “me-time,” step away from everything, and reserve a spot in one of our upcoming classes.
