Meet Your Pilates Teacher Trainer, Wendi!

Meet Wendi Allen, one of our experienced Pilates instructors and the instructor leading our teacher training in San Diego. Wendi brings her passion for Pilates, movement and teaching into an encouraging, hands-on training environment.

She helps future instructors understand not only how to perform Pilates exercises, but how to effectively teach, cue and adapt them for clients. Her supportive approach helps trainees build the knowledge and confidence needed to become Pilates instructors.

Pilates Teacher Training FAQs

Powerhouse Pilates offers a 500-hour comprehensive Pilates teacher training program in San Diego designed to develop the knowledge, technique and teaching skills needed to become a Pilates instructor. Training includes Mat, Reformer, Exo Chair, Spring Board, Magic Circle and Pilates anatomy. You can also explore our Pilates classes to learn more about the equipment, exercises and class styles taught at Powerhouse Pilates.

The comprehensive program covers Pilates anatomy and movement principles, classical Pilates exercises, Mat and equipment training, class programming, and teaching cues and techniques for adapting exercises to different clients. You can also meet our Pilates instructors and learn more about the Powerhouse Pilates teaching team.

Teacher training is held in person at Powerhouse Pilates Clairemont in San Diego. Our training location is convenient for aspiring Pilates instructors throughout the area, including Pacific Beach, Bird Rock, La Jolla, Mission Beach, Mission Bay and Bay Park.

The comprehensive program includes 500 hours of Pilates education and training. The upcoming in-person training sessions are held over six consecutive weekends, with classes on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
